Practices and Policies

Please read our cancellation terms carefully to avoid any confusion.

Commitment to Community

At Ink & Ideas, we cherish the unique voices and experiences of writers from all walks of life. We warmly welcome and value contributions from individuals of every genre, background, race, color, nationality, age, religion, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, as well as veteran status. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels safe and respected, and we actively prohibit any discrimination or harassment against our instructors and students. Your stories matter, and together, we create a vibrant and inclusive community.

Following the Amherst Writers and Artists method, we focus on creating a nurturing environment that allows everyone to flourish as writers. This shared commitment helps us all grow. If, however, anyone's behavior or writing is perceived by the instructor as not aligning with this spirit, they may be gently asked to leave the group without a refund. We appreciate your understanding as we work together to foster a positive and uplifting community.

Use of Technology

In our workshops, we want everyone to feel at ease and ready to engage. Please make sure you are comfortable with attending the sessions on Zoom, which includes muting and unmuting yourselves, turning your cameras on and off, using the chat box, and adjusting your device’s audio. While we may not have all the answers to technology questions, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together. Your comfort and participation are what truly matters.
